Jess Ravich is the chairman and CEO of ALJ Regional Holdings Inc.

Ravich has served on the board since 2006, and he transitioned to the role of CEO in 2019.

Prior to signing on with ALJ, Ravich worked with the TCW Group as its group managing director. From 2009 to 2012, he served as managing director for Houilhan Lokey, an international investment bank.

In 1991, he founded Libra Securities, and served as its CEO. The Los Angeles-based investment firm focused on raising capital and financial advisory services for middle-market corporate clients, as well as the sales and trading of debt and equity.

Prior to Libra Securities’ founding, Ravich served as executive vice president for Jefferies & Co Inc., and as senior vice president for Drexel Burnham Lambert.

Ravich currently serves on the boards of several companies, including Cherokee Inc., A-Mark International, and Unwired Planet. He has also spent time on the undergraduate executive Board of the Wharton School and the board of trustees of the Archer School for Girls.

Ravich earned both his B.S. and M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, and he earned his J.D. from Harvard University.
