As president and CEO of Coxe Curry & Associates, David sets the strategic direction and leads the firm’s day-to-day operations in addition to providing counsel to clients. He joined the firm in 2012 after a 27-year career in the financial sector and more than 20 years of volunteer service in the Atlanta community. He is currently working with several clients, including Future Foundation, Grady Health Foundation, Oglethorpe University, The Salvation Army, Trinity School, and the YMCA of Metro Atlanta.
Prior to joining Coxe Curry, David served in executive leadership roles with RidgeWorth Capital Management, a SunTrust subsidiary, including chief operating officer, chief executive officer and chairman. At RidgeWorth, he worked with numerous nonprofit boards and finance committees to oversee the management of their organizations’ investable assets. David’s leadership at RidgeWorth capped a corporate and investment banking career that saw him serve as head of SunTrust’s Corporate Banking and vice chairman and head of Debt Capital Markets for SunTrust Robinson-Humphrey.
Passionate about community service, David has served in volunteer leadership roles for numerous nonprofits, most recently as a member of the Staff Parish Relations Committee of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. He is a past member of the boards of the Atlanta Community Food Bank, where he served as treasurer and as a member of the Executive Committee; Hands On Atlanta, where he served as treasurer and chair of the Development Committee; and Emory Healthcare Advisory Board. Prior to his current role at Coxe Curry, David held volunteer leadership roles in fundraising activities for Auburn University, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Hands On Atlanta, United Way, and Wesleyan School. He and his family are involved in numerous local service projects and global missions. David is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta and a member of Atlanta Rotary.
An honors graduate of Auburn University, David and his wife Debby, have two adult sons.
