Stretch joined Medallia in 2018, poised to deliver on the company’s potential for growth in customer experience management software across the arenas of hospitality, financial services, retail, high-tech, and international B2B companies.
Directly prior to signing on with Medallia, Stretch had spent 10 years as president and CEO of CallidusCloud. While there, he helped deliver a 25 percent increase in value for the company, culminating in its 2018 acquisition by SAP for $2.5 billion. During that time, he also worked on patent-pending methods for performance predictions, hiring, social sales performance and visualization.
From 1996 to 2005, Stretch worked at Sun Microsystems as its senior vice president of global channel sales and as the managing director of Sun Microsystems U.K. Ltd. in both Palo Alto and London. His early career was spent at Oracle, where he held various senior sales positions and played a key role in increasing the growth of the company’s Canadian and Scottish operations.
From 2015 to 2019, Stretch was a member of the board of directors for QAD in Santa Barbara, California. He was also a member of the board of directors for MobileIron from 2019 to 2020.
Stretch holds a B.A. in economics and economic history from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, where he graduated with honors. He received a postgraduate degree in computer systems engineering from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and completed his certification by the Directors’ Consortium of the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
