Before joining MPT in 2008, J. Kevin Hanna worked as controller of Fruit of the Loom, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary, and Russell Corp., a global consumer products company. He started his career in the Birmingham, Alabama, office of Ernst & Young LLP in 1995, where he spent eight years auditing public and private companies, primarily in the retail, distribution and consumer products industries. Hanna received a B.S. in accounting from the University of Alabama and is a certified public accountant.

Hanna serves on the board of the American Cancer Society and is on the Executive Leadership Team of the American Heart Association Heart Walk.

He and his wife, Julianne, have two daughters.
