Catherine’s background also includes time in the U.S. Controller Group supporting key business initiatives and five years in the Corporate Controller Group in both external reporting and Europe management reporting roles where she was a 2001 McDonald’s President’s Award winner. Catherine also spent two years in Internal Audit working on international market audits.
Prior to joining McDonald’s in 1996, she worked at Ernst & Young for 3 years in their audit practice. Catherine is a CPA, has her undergraduate degree in accounting from The University of Illinois, and her MBA with a Finance concentration from DePaul University.
Catherine lives in Illinois with her husband Brian Giffin and their four children.
