Christopher Flatt is Executive Vice President and Global Chief Underwriting Officer of AIG. In this role, Mr. Flatt advances AIG’s culture of underwriting excellence, primarily focusing on the implementation of AIG’s global underwriting strategy, underwriting discipline and the development of next generation risk analytics.

Mr. Flatt brings more than 30 years of underwriting, risk management and reinsurance expertise to the position. Most recently, as AIG’s Head of North America Alternative Channels, he served as CEO of Glatfelter Insurance Group, President of AIG North America Personal and Commercial Lines Programs, President of AIG Captive Solutions, and Interim Chief Executive Officer of Private Client Select. Mr. Flatt notably led the significant growth of Glatfelter’s best-in-class underwriting platform since AIG’s acquisition of the company in 2018.

Mr. Flatt joined AIG in 2017 from Marsh McLennan, where he held various leadership roles for over 15 years. Prior to that, he served in senior underwriting positions at GE Capital and ITT Hartford, where he began his career.

Mr. Flatt earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Seton Hall University and a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
