From November 2019 to July 2023, Mr. Lang was Chairman and CEO of Turvo, a logistics software company. Prior to that, he was Executive Chairman and Chairman of Silver Spring Networks, where he previously served as Founding Chairman, CEO, and President from 2004 to 2015.

At Silver Spring, he raised over $200 million in capital and led the development of the first secure, native IP network for smart electric meters.
