David R. McAtee joined ADM’s board of directors in November 2024, and serves as a member of the compensation and succession, and nominating and corporate governance committees.

McAtee is Senior Executive Vice President and General Counsel for AT&T Inc., a premium brand with well over 100 million retail, business, and government customers around the world. McAtee has served as AT&T’s worldwide General Counsel since 2015 and is a trusted advisor to AT&T’s operations and strategic objectives. McAtee is responsible for all legal matters at AT&T, including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, finance, supply chain, government regulation and enforcement, compliance, data security, and stockholder engagement. David joined AT&T in January 2012 as senior vice president and assistant general counsel.

Prior to AT&T, McAtee was a partner of Haynes and Boone, LLP, where he specialized in complex litigation matters, antitrust, and government investigations. Prior to joining Haynes and Boone, he was Senior Law Clerk to U.S. District Judge Jerry Buchmeyer, then Chief Judge of the Northern District of Texas.

McAtee is former Executive Committee member of the State Bar of Texas, Chair of the Board of Editors of the Texas Bar Journal, and Chair of the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of St. Mark’s School of Texas and Methodist Health System, a $2 billion not-for-profit hospital system. He also is a Commissioner of the Texas Access to Justice Commission, a member of the Board of Visitors of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, and a Trustee of The University of Texas Law School Foundation.

McAtee graduated from Duke University with honors and from The University of Texas School of Law, where he was an associate editor of The Review of Litigation.

It also engages in the agricultural commodity and feed product import, export, and distribution; and various structured trade finance activities. In addition, the company offers soybean meal and oil; vegetable and salad oils and protein meals; ingredients for the food, feed, energy, and industrial customers; margarine, shortening, and other food products; and partially refined oils to produce biodiesel and glycols for use in chemicals, paints, and other industrial products. Further, it provides peanuts, peanut-derived ingredients, and cotton cellulose pulp; sweeteners, corn and wheat starches, syrup, glucose, wheat flour, and dextrose; alcohol, and other food and animal feed ingredients; ethyl alcohol and ethanol; corn gluten feed and meal; distillers' grains; corn germ; and citric acids. Additionally, the company provides proteins, natural flavors, flavor systems, natural colors, emulsifiers, soluble fiber, polyols, hydrocolloids, probiotics, prebiotics, postbiotics, enzymes, and botanical extracts; and other specialty food and feed ingredients; edible beans; formula feeds, and animal health and nutrition products; and contract and private label pet treats and food products. It also offers futures commission merchant; commodity brokerage services; cash margins and securities pledged to commodity exchange clearinghouse; and cash pledged as security under certain insurance arrangements.
