Kay McCurdy applies more than 30 years of experience to the general corporate and finance areas, focusing on representation of lending institutions and borrowers in a variety of transactions, mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation and corporate governance issues and nonprofit organizations. She co-chairs the Nonprofit Practice Group.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., an international insurance brokerage and risk management company listed on the New York Stock Exchange and of Chicago Public Media, Inc., Chicago’s public radio station. From 1998 to 2007, she served on the boards of directors of Trek Bicycle Corporation (leading manufacturer of bicycles) and the Trinity Foundation of Wisconsin. She has served on other nonprofit boards and advisory bodies, including the board of her alma mater Bradley University, Governors State University Advisory Council and the Visiting Committee of University of Chicago Law School. She served on the Executive Committee of Lord, Bissell & Brook from 2004 to 2006.

She has spoken frequently on nonprofit governance and financing issues.
Ms. McCurdy was selected in 2004 as one of Chicago’s 100 Most Influential Women by Crain’s Chicago Business. Leading Lawyers Network selected her as a Leading Lawyer in Banking, and in 2008, as one of the Top 100 Leading Women Business Lawyers in Illinois and Top 100 Women Lawyers in All Areas of Law. She is also a 2011 NACD Governance Fellow.
