Andy Walz, 58, is president, downstream, midstream and chemicals of Chevron Corporation, a position he has held since October 2024. He is responsible for worldwide manufacturing, marketing, lubricants, chemicals and additives businesses, along with Chevron’s shipping, pipeline, and trading units.
Prior to his current role, Walz was president, Americas Products from October 2019 to October 2024, responsible for optimizing Chevron’s fuels, base oils, and lubricants supply chains in North and Latin America, as well as the marketing, sale and delivery of Chevron and Texaco fuels brands and lubricants products. In this role, Walz also led the launch of a renewables business to commercialize lower-carbon products—such as Renewable/Compressed Natural Gas, Hydrogen, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel—and established Chevron REG to drive feedstock aggregation, renewable manufacturing, and marketing of low-carbon fuels.
Walz joined Chevron and its subsidiaries in 1989. Over the course of his career, Walz has progressed through a series of leadership roles, including serving as the president of International Products, responsible for Chevron's downstream fuels business and joint ventures outside of the Americas. He oversaw the refining and marketing of transportation fuels for commercial and retail sales across four key distributive areas in Singapore, Thailand, Korea, and South Africa, as well as Chevron’s joint-venture aviation activities in the Middle East. Walz has also served as vice president of Joint Ventures & Affiliates, responsible for Chevron's non-operated joint venture refineries in Singapore, Thailand, and Korea. Prior to that role, he was the vice president of Product Supply and Trading.
Walz graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Civil Engineering.
