Sprinkle, Jr. served over eight years in the United States Marine Corps becoming a Platoon Sergeant in an 81mm Mortar Platoon, in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and multiple other operational deployments, before receiving an Honorable Discharge due to injuries suffered in the line of duty.
