Mr. Papadimitriou previously led Coesia, a group of global industrial and packaging solutions companies as their Chief Executive Officer for ten years. Prior to that, Mr. Papadimitriou spent over fifteen years in the pharmaceutical industry, including as Chairman for Italy and Senior Vice President for Southeast Europe at GlaxoSmithKline. Early in his career, he worked for McKinsey & Co’s New York office and served in the Greek Military. Mr. Papadimitriou serves on the Boards of Directors of Dompé Pharmaceuticals, an Italian biopharmaceuticals company and of Humanitas, a leading Italian network of teaching and research hospitals. He is founder and Chairman of Athena Ventures, a Milan-based investment firm. Mr. Papadimitriou was appointed a Director of Cognex on February 17, 2023.
