Raouf Abdel, EVP, Global Operations, oversees Design, Construction, Procurement and Operations for Equinix’s world-class data centers and interconnection platform. Raouf has led the Operations team to become the globalized organization it is today, providing consistent, high-quality and reliable services with integrity, and delivering exceptional frontline experiences to customers around the world. He joined the company in 2012 and previously served as Regional Operating Chief, Americas.

Raouf brings more than three decades of experience in the data center, telecom and construction industries. Prior to Equinix he was President & CEO of OpTerra Energy Group, providing strategic and operational leadership for the company.

Prior to OpTerra, Raouf served as President of the Business Markets Group with Level 3 Communications and was previously Vice President of Network Development with MFS Communications.

Raouf is on the Chief Operating Officers Council. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
