Prior to joining Lumentum in February 2025, he served as president and chief executive officer and as a director of Synaptics Incorporated, a global leader in IoT semiconductor solutions and human interface solutions combining IoT and AI. Before joining Synaptics in 2019, Mr. Hurlston was chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors of Finisar Corporation, a leader in optical communications. He also served as executive vice president, worldwide sales and in a variety of management roles over the course of his nearly 20-year career with Broadcom Limited, a leading developer and supplier of a broad range of semiconductor solutions. Mr. Hurlston currently serves on the board of directors of Lumentum and Astera Labs Inc. and serves on the Board of Executive Trustees of the UC Davis Foundation. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and his MBA from the University of California, Davis.
