Angelo Amorelli has served as a Director of the Company since October 2023. Prior to joining the Board, Dr. Amorelli retired from bp where he previously served as the Senior Vice President of applied sciences and was the global head of research and development from July 2020 to December 2022. Dr. Amorelli served as Vice President of Group Research from April 2015 to June 2022 and prior to that served in a variety of technical, operational and commercial roles at bp from January 1989 to April 2015. Dr. Amorelli brings nearly 35 years of energy-industry experience to our Board, and he held a variety of leadership roles at bp that were focused on the development of clean fuels. He was considered one of the company’s leading technical experts in clean-energy technologies, including wind power, biofuels, low-carbon energy, and hydrogen applications. Early in his career, Dr. Amorelli developed and championed the initial strategy for bp to increase renewable-energy activity in the areas of wind power and advanced biofuels. He is a graduate of Cambridge University in Natural Sciences and holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Wales – Cardiff. Dr. Amorelli is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
