Michael Scarbrough has over 30 years of executive leadership of both entrepreneurial endeavors and large complex health care organizations. Michael was the Co-Founder, President, and COO of Prospero Health which had its largest concentration of operations based in Memphis. Started in 2019 and sold to Optum in 2022, Prospero grew to serve over 50,000 patients through medical groups started in 29 states. Michael has held executive leadership positions at Amerigroup, Elevance Health, and Optum.  

Michael is an advisor and board member to several companies with a concentration in health care. He also serves on numerous community boards that help to empower youth, support local businesses, enhance culturally rich schools, and generate affordable housing. Michael was born in Memphis, has been married to his wife for over 30 years, and has four grown children all living in the Memphis area, as well as two grandchildren.
