Bill Cook is a member of Mativ’s Board of Directors. Previously, Bill was Non-Executive Chair of the Board of Neenah, Inc. He is the former Executive Chair (2015 to 2016) of Donaldson Company Inc., a technology-driven global company that manufacturers filtration systems to remove contaminants from air and liquids. Bill also served as the Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer (2004 to 2015) of Donaldson. 

Prior to 2004, Bill held various roles at Donaldson of increasing responsibility, including serving as Senior Vice President, International (2000 to 2004), Chief Financial Officer (2001 to 2004) and Senior Vice President, Commercial and Industrial (1994 to 2000). 

Bill also serves on the Board of Directors of Axalta Coating Systems Ltd. He is also the former Director and Executive Chair for IDEX Corporation and Donaldson Company Inc., and previously served as a Director of Valspar Corporation. He brings 35 years of filtration industry background, operations experience and financial expertise and is a highly experienced public company Board member. 

Bill holds both a BS degree in Business Management and an MBA degree from Virginia Tech.

It also offers branded paper-based products for the consumer channel, such as bright papers, cardstock, stationery paper, envelopes, journals, and planners. This segment distributes its products through authorized paper distributors, converters, retailers, and specialty business converters, as well as directly to end-users. The company was formerly known as Schweitzer-Mauduit International, Inc. and changed its name to Mativ Holdings, Inc. in July 2022. Mativ Holdings, Inc. was incorporated in 1995 and is headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia.
