Jamie was appointed to the post of chief financial officer for NextGen Healthcare, effective March 1, 2016, bringing more than three decades of finance and software technology experience to the role.
From June 2010 to May 2015, Jamie served as the chief financial officer and an executive board member at Kofax Ltd., a software company based in Irvine, California, where he led finance, accounting, IT, real estate, treasury, audit, tax, and investor relations. He was instrumental in the completion and integration of six acquisitions and disposition of the hardware distribution business. Additionally, he oversaw the company's US initial public offering and transition from a listing on the London Stock Exchange. As a key member of management, he participated in and facilitated the strategic process resulting in the sale of its Enterprise Software division, focused on integration and transition matters.
During his tenured career, Jamie held a multitude of roles with Nuance Communications, Inc., a publicly traded software company based in Burlington, Massachusetts, including senior vice president and chief financial officer. During his time there, Nuance acquired 17 companies and completed several debt and secondary stock offerings.
Earlier, Jamie held executive positions at Cadence Design Systems, Inc., Informix Software, Inc., and Centura Software Corp. He served as a board member and the chair of the audit committee at Selectica, Inc. from 2003 to 2010. In 2010, he served as the cochairman of the board. He began his career at PriceWaterhouse LLP.
Jamie holds a master of business administration from Loyola University and a bachelor of business administration in Finance from Delta State University.
