John Kinzer is an Operating Partner of Stripes Group focusing on SaaS investments. Currently, John serves on the Outsystems board and is the chairman of the audit committee.

Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer of HubSpot, the inbound marketing and sales SaaS company, where he led a successful IPO in 2014 and saw the company grow from $80 million to $500 million and to over a $6 billion market cap.

Prior to HubSpot, John served as CFO for Blackboard, Inc., the leading SaaS education company. He played a key role in taking Blackboard public in 2004 and reaching over $500 million in revenue before being acquired by a private equity firm. Earlier in his career, Kinzer held leadership roles at MCI and Arthur Andersen, LLP.

John is a passionate supporter of his alma mater, Virginia Tech where he sits on Founder’s Circle of the Apex Center for Entrepreneurs.
