Julius Genachowski has served as a member of our Board of Directors since September 2013 and as the Chair of our Board of Directors since May 2023. Mr. Genachowski is a Senior Advisor at Carlyle, a global investment firm; from 2014 through 2023 Julius was a Partner and Managing Director at Carlyle. He served as the Chairman of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission from 2009 to 2013. He held senior executive positions at IAC/InterActiveCorp, an internet, e-commerce and media company. He currently serves on the board of directors of Mastercard Incorporated, a global technology company in the payments industry, where he chairs the Audit Committee, and of Mattel Inc., a leading global toy company. He previously served on the board of directors of Sprint Corporation, from August 2015 until April 2020. He served on the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board under President Obama, and has served on the staff of then-Representative Charles Schumer and on the staff of the U.S. House Select Committee on the Iran-Contra Affair. Mr. Genachowski holds a B.A. in history from Columbia University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and served as a law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justice David H. Souter.
