EVP of State Street
John Plansky is executive vice president, head of State Street AlphaSM and also oversees Corporate Strategy for State Street. He is accountable for all aspects of State Street Alpha, our global front office-to-back office services platform for Institutional Investors and Wealth Managers. In this role, John manages Charles River Development, Alpha Data Platform, Data and Middle Office Services, Alpha strategic partners and integration of all State Street products and services across State Street Alpha. In addition, John is a member of the Executive Committee, the company’s most senior strategy and policy-making team.

John has a history of leading global teams, growing businesses and integrating teams with different capabilities and skill sets to produce better outcomes. He joined us from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he led Strategy (formerly Booz & Company) and was also a member of the PwC Advisory Financial Services leadership team.

Prior to the acquisition of Booz & Co. by PwC, John was a senior partner at Booz & Company, where he led the technology and transformation practices and advised global institutions such as State Street. Before taking on this role, he was the CEO of NerveWire and led the company’s sale to Wipro, where he subsequently oversaw their global capital markets business.

John has a Bachelor of Science in biophysics from Brown University.
