Lilian Leroux was appointed Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer for Wabtec Corporation in April 2023. As such, he leads the Global Strategy, Corporate Development, and Sustainability of Wabtec, a global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail, with more than 30,000 employees around the world.

Preceding his current role, Lilian was President of Wabtec Transit and CEO of Faiveley Transport from 2019, leading more than 50 countries. During this challenging period due to international crises such as COVID-19 and hyperinflation, Lilian transformed the organization and significantly improved profitability and productivity.

At the start of his career, after various positions within industrial and railway companies such as the French national railway operator SNCF, he joined Faiveley Transport in 2001. He worked successively in numerous roles such as Project Manager, Key Account Manager, UK Managing Director, Services President, a division supporting rail operators with the maintenance and optimization operations of original equipment throughout their lifespan.

In 2014, Lilian Leroux was appointed Brakes & Safety Group President, where he was responsible for all Transit Brakes, Couplers, and Friction Product Lines worldwide. A project execution and result-driven leader, he was instrumental in driving growth and successful integration of the two companies’ brakes product portfolios when Faiveley Transport was acquired by Wabtec in 2016. 

A native of France, Lilian graduated from INSEAD and earned a Master of Science in engineering from INSA Lyon, a leading engineering school in France.
