Hughes first started with the equipment manufacturer in 2015, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the automotive, technology and advertising industries to his current position.

Before signing on with Workhorse, Hughes spent over 10 years as the senior vice president and chief operating officer of Cumulus Interactive Technologies Group. In this position, he oversaw the company’s sales and operations.

Hughes’ early career was spent in senior management positions with Gannett Co. Inc. and its affiliates. From 1995 to 2004, he worked as the vice president of sales and operations for Gannett Media Technologies International, and from 2003 to 2004, he was a member of the company’s corporate staff for print and digital advertising.

Hughes earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Northern Kentucky University.
