As Chief Human Resources Officer, Holly is responsible for driving a people-first HR strategy that supports Petco’s business roadmap and is grounded in our mission to improve the lives of pets, pet parents and our own Petco partners (employees).
Holly brings extensive expertise supporting employee wellbeing and two decades of experience leading retail HR functions through innovative programs, policies and practices. Holly is a passionate supporter of fair and progressive HR policies, mental health, and fostering workplaces that care for team members as whole people, where each individual can be their most authentic self and perform at their best.
Prior to joining Petco, Holly served as EVP & Global Chief Human Resources Officer for Walgreens Boots Alliance. She led all aspects of the organization’s global HR and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) functions — supporting hundreds of thousands of employees. Previously, Holly held executive leadership roles at Starbucks, Abercrombie & Fitch, Visa and more.
To fully immerse herself in our unique, 360-degree pet care ecosystem, Holly started her Petco career working alongside Petco partners at pet care and distribution centers. She and the entire Petco leadership team routinely visit Petco locations to get to know, support and gain feedback from our diverse community of more than 29,000 pet-loving team members.
Holly is based at Petco’s National Support Center in San Diego. She graduated from Wellesley College and earned her Master of Finance degree from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
