Reeve Waud is the Founder and Managing Partner of Waud Capital Partners. Over his 34-year investment career, he has acquired more than 340 companies. Prior to founding WCP in 1993, Mr. Waud worked at the private equity firm Golder, Thoma, Cressey, Rauner and in the venture capital group at Salomon Brothers.
Mr. Waud is Chairman of Heart + Paw as well as serving on the Boards of The GI Alliance and Lifelong Learner Holdings. He is also the Chairman of Acadia Healthcare Company (NASDAQ: ACHC), which was previously a WCP portfolio company.
He is a member of the Northwestern Memorial HealthCare Finance Committee and is on the Board of the Northwestern Memorial Foundation. In addition, he is a Trustee and member of the Finance Committee and Photography Committee of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Previously, he served as a Trustee of St. Paul’s School for ten years and was the Treasurer of the school as well as Chairman of Audit and Risk and a Member of the Executive Committee. In addition, he spent more than twenty years on the Board of the Shedd Aquarium and served on the Executive Committee as well as the Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee. Over the past decade, Mr. Waud was also the Vice Chairman, a Member of the Executive Committee and Member of the Board of Directors of The Economic Club of Chicago. For more than six years he served as the Chairman of the Illinois State Police Merit Board, which has oversight responsibility for the Illinois State Police.
Mr. Waud holds a B.A. in Economics from Middlebury College and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
