Jie Chen serves as our Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Asia, and President of Air Lease Corporation Hong Kong and brings more than 28 years of aviation industry experience to our team. Mr. Chen is responsible for leading Air Lease Corporation’s sales and marketing efforts in Asia, which includes the development and execution of the company’s long term strategy in the region. Mr. Chen’s ongoing accomplishments at ALC include the growth of our business in Asia and his leadership in developing new and existing markets in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam. Prior to joining Air Lease Corporation, Mr. Chen worked at ILFC starting in 1992, and served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Asia from 2002 until his departure in July 2010. Previous to ILFC, Mr. Chen was a project manager in the leasing division at China International Trust & Investment Corporation (“CITIC”). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Renmin University of China as well as a Master’s degree of Science in Management from the State University of New York.
