Corey Hollister is the co-founder and former CEO and board chairman of American Cannabis Company (ACC). He now runs his own consulting practice where he helps clients who are looking to enter the cannabis industry at all stages, from business creation to new market entry and growth.
Before founding ACC, Hollister helped launch The Village Green Society, one of the first state-licensed, vertically-integrated dispensaries. The business is still operational in Boulder, Colorado.
He founded ACC in 2013, and in his role as CEO, he commanded business operations, served as the company’s public face to shareholders and stakeholders, and set strategic initiatives to grow business while maintaining ethical stewardship. Hollister grew ACC’s revenue to over $2.5 million in three years, executing three capital raises exceeding $2 million in investments that solidified the company's financial resources.
In 2017, it was announced that Hollister would be stepping down as CEO and moving into a more customer-facing role. He remained on as a director and co-chairman of the board of directors.
He launched his consulting business in 2018, and also serves on the board of The Kiva Center, a Colorado nonprofit committed to providing underserved youth with confidence-building experiences in nature.
Hollister received his B.A. in behavioral science from Green Mountain College and his certificate in corporate social responsibility from the University of Colorado-Boulder’s Leeds School of Business.
