Michael R. Pesch joined Gallagher in 1991 as a member of Gallagher’s Summer Internship Program. In 2002, after ten years as a commercial property/casualty producer, he became Assistant Vice President of M&A, developing relationships with independent agencies across the United States. In 2005, Mike became a branch manager in the Chicago area, then served as president of the Midwest Region. In 2016, he became CEO of the U.S. retail brokerage division. In 2024, Mike assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, Global Brokerage - Americas, where he leads an expanded leadership team including U.S. Retail Brokerage, Americas Specialty and Gallagher’s retail brokerage businesses in Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign and a Masters of Business Administration from Northwestern University.
