Charles Muth is the chief growth officer of Beyond Meat, a plant-based food and beverage company.
Muth first signed on with Beyond Meat in 2017 to develop and lead its growth strategies. Since then, he has grown net revenues from $16 million to $400 million, expanded global distribution to over 80 countries, and introduced merchandising to disrupt the traditional retail meat market.
Prior to Beyond Meat, Muth spent three years as the senior vice president of sales for Venturing & Emerging Brands, a new entrepreneurial sales and commercial organization within the Coca-Cola Company. From 2010 to 2013, he served as the vice president of sales at Honest Tea Inc. after it was acquired by Coca-Cola. While there, he expanded growth by more than three times its former rate.
From 2005 to 2009, Muth worked as the senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Philadelphia Coca-Cola Bottling Company, where he grew market share by 26 percent. Previously, he was the managing director of the Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta, leading the integration of Seagram’s non-alcoholic brands into the company.
Muth began his career with Seagram Beverage Co., where, for 11 years, he served as the vice president and general manager for its global non-alcoholic beverages business unit. From 1999 to 2002, Seagram’s was one of the top 10 fastest-growing non-alcoholic beverage companies.
In addition to his role at Beyond Meat, Muth currently serves on the boards of a handful of companies, including as board director for Vive Organic, Partake, and ZICO Rising and as board chair for The PLANeT Partnership.
Muth holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from Montclair State University and an M.B.A. in finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
