Ms. Ngo served as President and Chief Executive Officer, then later as Chair, of Central Pacific Bank starting in 2015 and until 2024. She continues to serve as a member of CPB’s Board of Directors. She also is President of the Central Pacific Bank Foundation.
Ms. Ngo is an experienced executive who has served in various capacities in the financial industry over the last 32+ years. Prior to joining CPB in 2010, she was a founding general partner of Startup Capital Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm established in 2005, with investments in Silicon Valley and Hawaii, as well as in China. Ms. Ngo’s focus as a venture capitalist was on software and services companies in China. Before that, she was Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of Silicon Valley Bank (overseeing the risk and operations divisions), and during her tenure there, also served as Chief Operating Officer of Alliant Partners, Silicon Valley Bank’s investment banking subsidiary. Prior to that, Ms. Ngo was in private law practice in Silicon Valley and Dallas.
In addition to serving on the board of Central Pacific Financial Corp. (NYSE: CPF), She also serves on the Board of Directors of Maui Land & Pineapple (NYSE: MLP), a real estate development and management company (serving as Chair of the Audit Committee); Board of Directors of Hawaii Gas, the only gas utility in the State of Hawaii (serving as Chair of the Compensation Committee); the Board of Trustees of the Queen’s Health Systems (serving as Chair of the Finance Committee); and the Board of Governors of Hawaii Community Foundation (serving as Chair of the External Engagement Committee). She is an appointed Member, and serves as Chair, of the 12th District Federal Reserve Board Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (FRB CDIAC, San Francisco, CA), and also, is an appointed Member of the National FRB CDIAC (Washington, D.C.).
Ms. Ngo earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law.
