Darrin Henke serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Chord Energy. Mr. Henke has more than 30 years of North American upstream oil and gas experience, having most recently served as President and CEO of Ranger Oil Corporation, which was acquired by Baytex Energy in 2023.

Mr. Henke began his career in 1990, working in various engineering and operational roles over the next decade with Burlington, Venoco and Santa Fe Snyder. He then spent 15 years with Encana (or one of its predecessors) where he progressed from manager to Vice President and oversaw the $7 billion integration of Athlon’s Permian assets into Encana. In 2015 he joined Gary Permian & Gary Petroleum Partners, LLC as CEO before joining Ranger Oil Corporation in 2020.

Mr. Henke is a licensed Professional Petroleum Engineer in Colorado and Wyoming. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech. He also completed an advanced management program through Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
