EVP of Comerica
Cassandra M. McKinney is the Executive Vice President, Executive Director of the Retail Bank for Comerica Bank. She is a member of Comerica’s Management Executive Committee.

McKinney is responsible to drive business growth and provide for excellent customer and colleague experiences and effective business processes. Through strategic business objectives and transformational leadership, she strives to deliver the Comerica Promise and create lifelong customer relationships. 

As a member of Comerica Bank’s Management Executive Committee, she is accountable for the Consumer and Small Business Banking lines of business and Retail Channel Services, Retail Delivery and Strategic Services, Customer Contact Center, Comerica Loan Center, and Front-Line Risk Management. 

McKinney joined Comerica in 2005 as SVP, Retail Director of Product and Sales Management. She became SVP, Director of Retail Operations in 2011 and was named SVP, National Director of Retail Delivery and Strategic Services in 2016. In this capacity, she provided transformational leadership for Consumer and Small Business Banking Product Delivery, Channel Services, Reporting & Analytics and Banking Center Operations inclusive of risk management, workforce management, colleague readiness, and business technology and process requirements; and management of the banking center, ATM and ITM physical network distribution. 

McKinney’s broad leadership and expertise in retail banking allows her to deliver strong outcomes for customers and growth for business. She is a change agent effective in driving innovation, revenue, efficiency and risk mitigation, with more than three decades of experience in financial services, sales management and technology disciplines across several industries. 

Prior to Comerica, she held various roles of increasing scope and responsibility with Bank of America, leading key lines of business as well as providing strategic planning and technical support. She started her career at IBM where she gained critical leadership and sales experience providing client support for Fortune 100 accounts. 

McKinney is a graduate of Chemical Engineering from Columbia University, and Chemistry from Dillard University. Professional certifications include School of Retail Bank Management and Six Sigma Greenbelt.   

She is a recognized industry leader, currently sitting on the board of the Consumer Bankers Association where she serves on the Education Committee. She has also contributed to numerous industry councils and financial services roundtables throughout her career. McKinney is an advocate of diversity and people development – recognizing the value in leading through people. She’s sponsored numerous leadership and diversity efforts. 

A dedicated community leader, McKinney currently serves on the Booker T Washington Advisory Board’s President’s Council and has served as Chair of the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas’ Women of Tocqueville Committee and of the General Campaign for Comerica Bank. She is a member of The Links, Incorporated where she’s served in many leadership capacities, currently chapter president. She has loaned her talents to community organizations throughout her career.
