Prior to joining Evercore ISI, Mr. Hyman was the chairman and founder of ISI Group (broker-dealer), which had 280 employees around the world, and ISI (funds management), whose broker-dealer clients were institutional investors in the U.S. and abroad.
Before forming both companies in 1991, Mr. Hyman served as vice chairman and board member of C.J. Lawrence, which he joined in 1972. He also was an economic consultant at Data Resources from 1969 to 1971.
Mr. Hyman is a member of the China Institute Board of Trustees, the Finance Committee of Bowdoin College, and The Economic Club of New York.
Previous board assignments include the International Tennis Hall of Fame, Capital Trust (NYSE: CT), Said Holdings Ltd, 10 Gracie Square, Saint David’s School, and The Economic Club of New York. He also served on the Collegiate School’s finance committee.
Mr. Hyman earned a B.S. in engineering from the University of Texas and an MBA from MIT. He is a UT Distinguished Alumnus recipient.
