Jeffrey Carter Biography and Net Worth

Jeffrey B. Carter, age 54, is President and Chief Investment Officer of the Company. Mr. Carter served as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer from February 2012 until May 2016, when he was appointed as President in addition to his position as Chief Investment Officer. Previously, Mr. Carter served as Senior Vice President and Director of Acquisitions of the Company from 2005 to 2012 and as Vice President – Acquisitions from 2003 to 2005. Mr. Carter oversees the day-to-day execution of the Company's strategic objectives and business plan. In addition, Mr. Carter is primarily responsible for developing and implementing the Company’s investment strategy, including coordination of acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Carter worked in Trust Administration for Northern Trust Bank in Miami, Florida. Mr. Carter is a graduate of Arizona State University (B.A.), The George Washington University (M.A.) and Cornell University (M.B.A.). Mr. Carter’s father, George J. Carter, serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company, and Mr. Carter’s brother, Scott H. Carter, serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of the Company.
