Laurel Hurd is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Interface, Inc. She leads the company’s strategic vision and will drive its next phase of growth. Laurel is responsible for accelerating the overall Interface global business, developing top talent and high-performing teams, driving a customer-centered philosophy, and delivering on Interface’s mission to become a carbon negative enterprise by 2040. She was named CEO in April 2022.
A results-driven leader, Laurel brings 30 years of sales management, product development, and brand stewardship experience to Interface. She has a proven track record of driving profitable growth through innovation and global expansion and is regarded by her teams and colleagues as a passionate and inspirational leader.
Prior to joining Interface, Laurel spent most of her career at Newell Brands in various sales, marketing, research and development, and leadership positions. She most recently served as Segment President of the Learning and Development division, with P&L responsibility over a $3 billion group of brands including Sharpie, Elmer’s, Graco and Baby Jogger.
Laurel is also a member of the board of directors for THOR Industries (NYSE: THO), the world's largest manufacturer of recreational vehicles with revenues over $12B. The THOR family of companies includes iconic brands such as Airstream, Jayco, and Keystone. She was appointed to the board in August 2021 and serves on the Audit and the Compensation and Development committees.
She received her Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Marketing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She currently resides with her family in Atlanta, GA.
