Elizabeth (Liz) Forminard is Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer for Johnson & Johnson and a member of the Company’s Executive Committee. In this role, she serves as the chief legal advisor to J&J’s Board and executive team. In addition, she leads the Company’s global legal strategy and oversees its Office of the Corporate Secretary and Privacy organization.
Liz believes strongly in the role that legal can play in propelling innovation and enabling positive patient outcomes. She is a fierce advocate for the next generation of talent, serving as a mentor to those within and outside the legal field. Additionally, she serves as the executive sponsor of the LGBTQ+ employee business resource group.
Since joining Johnson & Johnson in 2006, Liz has served as General Counsel across each of the Company’s sectors, as well Vice President leading the Corporate Governance function, Supply Chain legal, and numerous other functional and business-facing roles.
Throughout her more than twenty-five years of practice, Liz has distinguished herself as a dedicated and trusted legal partner with strong business acumen and a keen focus on understanding patient and customer needs.
Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, Liz developed extensive regulatory legal experience as an associate at a top international law firm and in-house positions of increasing responsibility in the North America and Asia Pacific legal operations of another large multinational.
Liz holds a B.A. degree from Cornell University and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.
