Nicholas “Nick” Kovacevich is co-founder, chairman, and CEO of KushCo Holdings, Inc., an American cannabis packaging company.
Kovacevich originally co-founded KushCo’s predecessor, Kush Bottles, before becoming CEO in 2014. With him at the helm, KushCo grew its revenues quickly—up to 240 percent annually—by expanding the company’s offerings into new categories. Today, KushCo operates in nine states, has a team of over 250 employees and brings in over $145 million in annual sales. Kovacevich was selected to become chairman of the board in 2017.
Following launching an e-commerce site for cannabis producers and dispensaries in 2015, KushCo Holdings went public on the OTCQB marketplace the same year.
Prior to founding KushCo, Kovacevich began his career by founding PackMyDorm in 2007, a moving and storage solutions company serving the college campuses of UC Davis, UC Santa Clara, UC Berkeley and Stanford University. He sold the company in 2010.
Kovacevich also co-founded 3 Kings Ventures—an investment company that rehabs distressed residential real estate, BigRentz, Inc.—an online network of equipment rentals, and Alpha West Holdings—an investment firm focusing on early stage companies.
The entrepreneur ran the operations of Basketball Jones, a large traveling basketball camp, from 2009 to 2010. Governor Gavin Newsom appointed Kovacevich to California’s 32nd DAA Orange County Fair Board in 2020.
Kovacevich holds a B.S. in sports management from Southwest Baptist University where he captained the men’s NCAA II basketball team.
