Robert Ladd is the president and CEO of MGT Capital Investments.
He has been with MGT since 2010 when he signed on as a board member. In 2011, he was named interim president and CEO, and in 2012 was named president and CEO. In 2015, he was again named to an interim position, this time as treasurer and CFO, and in 2017, he became CEO again.
In addition to his role with MGT, Ladd is also a managing member of Laddcap Value Advisors, an investment manager for private partnerships, including Laddcap Value Partners LP.
Before forming this investment partnership in 2003, Ladd worked as a managing director for Neuberger Berman—a financial management firm serving individuals and institutions on an international scale. Earlier in his career, he worked as a portfolio manager for a number of high-net worth clients of Neuberger Berman. Additionally, he served as a securities analyst for the firm from 1998 through 1992.
Ladd received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his M.B.A. from Northwestern University. He also holds the chartered financial analyst designation.
