Parker’s career with Nike has spanned more than 40 years, beginning in 1979 when he joined the company as a footwear designer. He quickly rose within the ranks, becoming a division vice president in charge of development in 1987, a corporate vice president in 1989, general manager in 1993, vice president of global footwear in 1998, and co-president of the Nike brand in 2001.

He also successfully appealed to the street style generation with what have become best-selling product lines including Free Runs, Air Max, and Fly Knit.
Since 2016, Parker has served on The Walt Disney Company’s board of directors.
