Earlier in his career, from 1981 to 1994, Mr. Perry served as an attorney at Cooley LLP, and was a partner of the firm from 1987 to 1994. Mr. Perry currently serves on the board of directors of Nvidia Corporation, a visual computing company, as the lead independent director, and MyoKardia, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company, as the non-executive chairman of the board. Mr. Perry received a B.A. in history from the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D. from the University of California, Davis. Mr. Perry’s qualifications to serve on our Board of Directors include more than 30 years of experience serving in professional and management positions in the biotechnology industry, as well as his experience serving on the board of directors (and certain key standing committees) of other biopharmaceutical companies.
