He served as Vice Chairman of the board, chair of its risk committee, member of the audit and nominations and governance committees. From 1995 to 2005, he held a variety of executive and other board responsibilities at Credit Suisse Group AG, including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer. Mr. Thornburgh was also the Chairman of the board of directors of Credit Suisse Holdings USA from December 2015 to April 2018. Mr. Thornburgh is a Senior Advisor and member of the investment committee of Corsair Capital LLC, which he joined in 2006. His past corporate board affiliations include Dollar General Corporation and National City Corporation. He also served as a director of Reynolds America Inc. from December 2011 to December 2015.
