Before ALX, he was Chief Medical Officer of Mirati Therapeutics, Inc. through Mirati’s acquisition by Bristol Myers Squibb. Previously, he served as President and Head of Global Development, Oncology at Zai Lab Limited, and earlier held senior leadership roles at Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, where he drove multiple oncology development programs. Alan has also held academic leadership roles at Oregon Health and Science University, Indiana University and Vanderbilt University.
Alan earned his M.D. from Rush Medical College and completed his training in internal medicine and a fellowship in medical oncology at Yale-New Haven Medical Center.
