Kathleen Mahoney Biography and Net Worth

Kathy Mahoney joined the company in 2004 and served as General Counsel from 2006 to 2015, when she was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, overseeing the company’s legal, aviation, corporate affairs, communications and government relations functions. Previously, she served as President, MDV (2017-2020), in addition to her duties as Chief Legal Officer. In her dual role, she oversaw the strategic goals and P&L initiatives for MDV, in addition to the development and execution of the Defense Commissary Agency’s (DeCA) private label product offerings, which are exclusively distributed by MDV.

Prior to joining the company, Kathy served as Managing Partner of the St. Paul office of Larson King, LLP as well as Partner at Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly. She previously served as a law clerk to the Minnesota Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York before joining the Antitrust Division of the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office as the Special Assistant Attorney General.

Kathy serves on the Best Lawyers® Advisory Board, as Chair of the SpartanNash Foundation board of trustees and on the Honor and Remember board of directors.

Kathy earned her juris doctorate from Syracuse University College of Law, where she graduated cum laude. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Minnesota State, Michigan State and Ramsey County Bar Associations.
