Daniel Phelan Biography and Net Worth

Daniel J. Phelan has served on the TE Connectivity board of directors since its inception in June 2007. Mr. Phelan was chief of staff at GlaxoSmithKline plc. (GSK), a manufacturer of pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and consumer health-related products. He served in this role from 2008 until his retirement in December 2012, following which he consulted with GSK until the end of 2013. Mr. Phelan joined GSK in 1981 and held several other roles of increasing responsibility, including senior vice president, human resources and senior vice president of operations & administration, research and development.

Prior to his work at GSK, Mr. Phelan worked as an attorney in the labor department at Obermayer, Rebmann, Maxwell & Hippel, a law firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and as a director of student services at The Ohio State University. He also served as an officer in the United States Army Medical Service Corps.

Mr. Phelan serves as a director of Indivior PLC, a global specialty pharmaceutical business and the global leader in the treatment of opioid dependence, and also an advisor with the GLG Institute, a membership-based executive community focused on accelerating the personal and professional development of senior leaders.

Mr. Phelan holds bachelor’s and law degrees, both from Rutgers University, and a master’s degree in higher education administration from The Ohio State University.
