Brent Woodford is the executive vice president for controllership, financial planning, and tax at Disney, a role he has held since 2016.
Since joining The Walt Disney Company in 2003 as senior vice president, planning and control, his role has expanded to overseeing the mass media company’s controllership, financial activities, and tax functions. He is at the helm of Disney’s internal and external financial reporting, and he is responsible for crafting the company’s plans for capital spending, cash flow, and operating profit.
Woodford was previously the vice president, controller at Yum! Brands, the fast food corporation that operates Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and KFC, among others. He was also the controller for PepsiCo’s international restaurant division. He worked with Yum! Brands and PepsiCo for over 10 years.
Earlier in his career, Woodford worked at A.G. Edwards & Sons as an equity securities analyst, at Coopers and Lybrand as a financial consultant, and at KPMG’s London and Dallas offices in the audit division.
Woodford is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and he sat on the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council for the Financial Accounting Foundation between 2006 and 2009.
Woodford holds a B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University and an M.B.A from St. Louis University.
