Steven Cakebread Insider Information

CFO of Yext

Steven Cakebread is the chief financial officer at Yext, responsible for the company’s global financial operations. He previously held executive roles at Salesforce, including president and chief strategy officer, and executive vice president and CFO.

Cakebread has four decades of executive finance experience with growing technology companies, and he is known for his expertise in taking companies public. At Yext, Pandora, and Salesforce, Cakebread led the teams that brought each company to a successful public offering. In 2020, he released a book titled, “The IPO Playbook,” offering an insider perspective on preparing for an IPO.

Cakebread has also held senior leadership roles at D-Wave Systems, Autodesk, Hewlett Packard, and Silicon Graphics World Trade.

He currently sits on the board of directors for Bill.com and previously served on the boards of ServiceSource, SolarWinds, and Ehealth, several of which went public during his time as an advisor.

Cakebread holds his B.S. in business from the University of California, Berkeley and his M.B.A. from Indiana University.
