He is a proven technology leader who has driven the research and development of wireless security technologies for organizations at every level, from startups to multinational corporations.

Dr. Sinha began his career by co-founding Engim, a startup focused on broadband, multi-channel, Wi-Fi radios in 2001, where he spent four years as vice president and chief technologist. He then joined wireless security company, AirDefense, as their chief technology officer.

Following AirDefense’s acquisition by Motorola, Dr. Sinha transitioned into the role of CTO of enterprise networking and communications. Under his leadership, the business unit focused on wireless LAN infrastructure, security, and voice.

In 2010, three years after its founding, Dr. Sinha joined Zscaler as CTO. His role expanded in 2013 when he also became the company’s executive vice president of engineering and cloud operations.

Since Dr. Sinha has been with the software company, Zscaler has grown to protect the cloud-based web and mobile security of some of the world’s most complex networks. Zscaler now manages cloud-based security for twenty percent of the Forbes Global 2000 companies.

Dr. Sinha holds 27 U.S. patents, has authored numerous conference and journal papers and contributed to various books.

He earned his Bachelor of Technology degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and he also holds both a Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
