Devinder Kumar is the senior vice president, CFO, and treasurer at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), a Fortune 500 semiconductor company based in Santa Clara, California. He has been with the company in a variety of leadership roles spanning corporate finance and accounting since 1984.
Kumar’s first position at AMD was as a senior financial analyst, and he has since served AMD globally, spending 10 years in Asia as a corporate controller and regional financial controller between Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and China. He earned his bachelor’s degree in ecology at the University of Malaya, Malaysia, his M.S. in biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his M.B.A. at the University of California, Los Angeles.
