Eric P. Hansotia is the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AGCO Corporation, a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural machinery and precision ag technology. Under his leadership, AGCO’s team of approximately 22,000 employees across six continents put Farmers First by providing solutions that enable productivity, profitability and sustainability.

Throughout his career, Hansotia has been known for being a bold visionary, setting ambitious goals and delivering results for key stakeholders. After becoming Chairman, President and CEO in 2021, he led the creation of AGCO’s Farmer-First strategy, driven by a passion for advancing smart farming solutions and being the most farmer-focused company in the industry. Before his current role, he served as Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity, he oversaw the company’s regional commercial operations as well as its global product management, engineering, manufacturing and supply chain functions.

Hansotia also serves on the Board of The Toro Company. He is a member of The Business Council and the North American Agriculture Advisory Board (Rabobank).

Prior to joining AGCO in 2013, Hansotia had a successful 20-year career working for Deere & Company, where he served in a number of global leadership roles, including a tenure in Mannheim, Germany. He has extensive experience in engineering, quality, advanced technology, manufacturing, product management and global business leadership within the agriculture industry.

Hansotia graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He also earned an MBA from the University of Iowa.
