Ajei Gopal has served as Ansys’ president and chief executive officer since January 2017. From August 2016 to December 2016, he served as our president and chief operating officer. Ajei was appointed an independent director of the board in 2011. From 2013 to 2016, Ajei was an operating partner at Silver Lake, a leading private equity technology investor. His employment at Silver Lake included a secondment as interim president and chief operating officer at Symantec Corporation. From 2011 until 2013, he was senior vice president at Hewlett Packard.
